Growing up, my dad would make us waffles with this orange syrup on Christmas morning. I don't know what waffle recipe he would use, but I found this delicious and simple waffle recipe here.
Waffles
1 3/4 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Mix together and bake in hot waffle iron.
Dad's Orange Syrup
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
½ cup frozen orange juice concentrate
Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Serve warm over waffles.
